The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; that they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children; to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed –Titus 2:3-5
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised – Proverbs 31:30
Every wise woman buildeth her house; but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands – Proverbs 14:1
Although Christian women have traditionally fulfilled their supportive roles and gained reputation for being complete wives and mothers in the Church and at homes, the current feminist movement continues to influence them to abandon these divinely ordained roles. Unfortunately, this movement has made its way into the house of God bringing chaos, competitions and confusions. According to the Scriptures, the fact that women are heirs together with men of the grace of life -1 Peter 3:7, equal recipient of the saving work of Christ –Galatians 3:28 and partakers of the Holy Spirit and His gifts –Act 2:17, does not change their scriptural position and roles in the body of Christ and at the homes
The Women Ministry therefore is established to ensure the effective mobilization and participation of women in the work of the Lord. Through outreach programs, teachings and counseling, they provide a forum for shepherding the women and addressing issues that affects them within and outside the Church. As a result, the specific and general spiritual, moral and family needs of the women both within the congregation and the community are being met. Multitudes of women have been saved, restored, sanctified and spiritually filled while many separated families have been reunited and several other family problems resolved.
